Current Opportunities:
February 4, 2010 - Product Support Specialist
We are seeking a Product Support Specialist to join our support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving our customers through issue resolution, enquiry follow-up, product demonstration and training.
Core Duties:
• Field customer support requests, perform problem determination, develop and deliver solutions
• Troubleshoot issues related to the use of our products, Windows networking issues, issues with peripherals such as printers and scanners and with third party software such as e-fax and email.
• Track open customer issues and communicate status to customers
• Follow up with customers to verify solutions are successful
• Proactively contact customers to ensure the product is being used effectively and is meeting their needs
• Install and test new versions of products
• Analyze customer work flow, assess training needs and provide training
• Perform product demonstrations
• Assist product management in developing and prioritizing enhancement lists for products by communicating repetitive customer issues and relaying customer experiences
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Two years of experience providing technical support for systems with software and hardware components. Network troubleshooting and support skills for small to medium size office installations using printers, scanners, and windows or MAC based workstations.
• Experience with installation and technical support for Windows-based software products
• Excellent phone and email skills, positive customer-centric attitude
• Good problem determination technique; well-organized, and will follow through on commitments to customers
• Skilled technical writer able to document problems and solutions for customers (posting FAQs) and other technical support personnel
• Willing to work some shifts outside of 9 am to 5 pm.
Desired Experience / Skills:
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related Information Technology field
• Experience supporting products running in a Citrix environment
• Experience with medical applications / environments
